Some of the recent developments have raised my respect for judiciary. Verdict on Manjunath's case is one more victory of judiciary over bureaucracy.

The SC's stay on the OBC reservation in IITs & IIMs is another bold step. I liked it.

I also didnt expect Team India as so an easy prey.

In '83 we lost a match before lifting the cup (Though it was against WI at that time!).

So lets keep the spirit. I expect a more crisp review at Manish Bro's blog.

HP DV6226US

I got this HP laptop DV6226US:
1 gig of RAM, 120 gigs of HDD & 1.6 GHz Pentium Dual core.

I will give full points to it. I've set up my development environment of this machine, loaded Java 1.5, JBoss 4.0.5GA, Oracle XE, Oracle SQL Developer & MyEclipse. It didn’t sag.

As of now I have not seen any compatibility issues of Vista with java, Oracle 10g XE or Jboss AS.

Vista is cool, no doubt about it. Sound & graphics are crisp & sharp. The only thing that bothered me that I couldn't VPN to my office machine ( XP box). Perhaps MS wont leave this thing unattended. I might be doing something wrong.

Though I have the admin rights on my office PC, it said to contact the local admin of the system you are trying to connect. (I used the local admin user of this laptop to connect.) I just aborts the process by saying that the computer that you are trying to connect runs an older version of windows। Even though I asked it to connect anyways, it gave up after trying for a while. Tomorrow I will contact network admin at my work place. Then only I will write complete reviews.

Update: 17/04
The day I made this post, the Internet connection at my office was unusually clogged. I can connect to my XP box. No problems at all.
